Who we are
Roof Control is operated by RVL Enterprise LLC ("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone number, login credentials, role (contractor, crew leader, worker).
- Company data: business name, address, crew membership, job sites.
- Work data: clock-in/out times, voice reports, photos, job notes, invoices, customer details you enter.
- Device & usage data: device type, browser, IP address, log data, approximate location (when provided for clock-in or weather alerts).
- Support messages: content you send when contacting us.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the Service (account creation, time tracking, reporting, invoicing).
- To secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To improve features and fix bugs.
- To provide customer support.
- To send transactional messages (billing, account, security).
Legal bases
We process personal data on the basis of performance of a contract (providing the Service to you), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), consent (where required, e.g. optional marketing), and legal obligation (tax, accounting, lawful requests).
Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, authentication, analytics, voice transcription, weather data, and email delivery.
- Merchant of Record (Paddle): handles payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds.
- Professional advisers: legal and accounting, where necessary.
- Authorities: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions) as required by applicable law.
Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data; to object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us through the in-app support channel. We will respond within the timeframe required by law (typically one month).
Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging, to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimize risk.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand how the product is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
